About the Old Huish Association
The Association began as the Huish Old Boys Association at
the end of the 19th Century. The name changed in 1979 with the transition
from Huish's Grammar School to the Richard Huish 6th Form College and the
subsequent admission of young ladies.
The function of the Association is to provide a focal
point for former Huishers to remember their time at Huish's and to provide
the opportunity to meet together with their former friends and acquaintances
from their 'school days'.
The Association presently meets twice a year for a
Luncheon and an Annual Dinner, but it is hoped to add further activities
during the coming years.
Anyone who has attended Huish's is eligible to become a
member of the Old Huish Association, including members of the teaching
staff. An application form can be found here.
This website has been set up in an attempt to modernise
the Association and will be used in future to document the history of the
old School, the College and the activities of the Association and its
members.
