OHA Golf Competition 2005
A new event was added to the Old Huish Association
Calendar with the first ever OHA Golf Competition.
This first match was organised by Doug Dawe and took place
prior to the Luncheon at the Taunton Vale Golf Course.
Eight players took part in a Stableford Competition, which
was played on this occasion only over 9 holes, though the expectation is
to play 18 holes in future.
The eight participants in first outing were: Gent and
Christine Musgrave, Roger Underhill, Chris Mann, Doug Dawe, Martin Howe,
Jack Loxston and Peter Gibbs.
Below we see Competition Winner, Jack Loxston, holding the
OHA Golf Shield, which was provided by Association President, Fred
Hutchings. Also pictured are (left) Martin Howe, OHA Secretary and runner
up in the competition, and (centre) Doug Dawe who organised the event.
